October 2019, I found myself with the opportunity to visit Toronto. My grandmother lives about an hour and a half away from a train that delivers its passengers straight to the city. While I have many favorite moments in this destination, one of them has to be visiting Graffiti Ally. Being a lover of art, I felt right at home. This mural of bunnies is my absolute favorite. I also felt right at home in icy cold weather, being able to finally wear a sweater (I live in Florida and NEVER get to use my winter clothes).
Back on the train home from Toronto, my friends and I decided to make a late-night stop in Niagara Falls. I probably don’t even have to say this, but the falls were absolutely beautiful! I do have to say, one of my favorite parts was walking around Clifton Hill. The zombie in the picture was sitting outside of a zombie shooting game that is played with an audience of people with video game controllers in front of a movie screen. This little area is filled with fun carnival-esque games. Definitely a must visit if you find yourself in Canada.
Back in February of 2019, I stayed in Shinjuku. Personally, I love me a bustling city. I could not have been happier to be in such a busy, pleasantly noisy place. I was mesmerized by all the bright lights and how this area of the city is a legit ocean of buildings. It’s forever on my list of best places to sightsee, shop, and eat.
A dream of mine was to get to see the stunning Mt. Fuji. I could not have been happier to get to go on a tour. Even though the sky was cloudy, I still got to get some amazing pictures. I was also surprised to find the gift shops also had adorable merchandise. I did most of my souvenir shopping for my friends and fam in these stores.
Meanwhile, Harajuku was just a half hour walk from the hotel I was staying in. The cuteness was insane. I definitely dropped some serious cash here. The storefronts are endless and toppling with all kinds of different styles and quirky clothes. I visited during the week and the street was absolutely packed. I would have sworn it was a weekend. The bear in the picture was a bear I took the same picture with in NYC a year or so prior.
